Along with the website re-launch at the end of 2020, Archdale (formerly Virtual Bookshelf) opened a new Discord Community Server. Here, authors are free to share their work, ask questions, engage with the greater book community, and learn about publishing, marketing, and writing. Artists and all creatives are also welcome and encouraged to join.
Discord members also enjoy an interactive points system with redeemable rewards helpful for polishing and editing their writing as well as finalizing elements of their book for publishing. Special contests and events are also held to promote learning, growth, and exploration. As the community grows, the possibilities for new activities and rewards emerge. The Archdale Discord uniquely combines recreation, creativity, and seriousness of the writing craft into one destination.
