Theodora was the Queen of Polis, a city-state that lost the war against the most powerful empire in the continent.
She is sure that they’ll execute her immediately but, somehow, she survives the meeting with the Emperor, and she finds herself… Married?
Tossed in a new world without connections and allies, she has to either accept her fate or lose the chance to help her people once again.
She soon finds out that her new husband knows more about her than she does herself, and that his purposes are often far from what she expects.
A fallen queen that doesn’t know how to be anything else. A handsome Duke who’s the cause of her ruin. And their efforts to find some happiness in a marriage that’s been forced on them.
Lizabelle88: The novel has a historical vibe to it. It started with the fallen Queen that was supposed to die but instead got married to the Duke who is responsible for her fall. It’s interesting, captivating and addictive. Good job to the Author! Keep it up!
Krystal88: Before I knew it, I had read 12 chapters! Captivating story, likeable characters. The style is unique to me, I haven’t read a story yet with the dialogue set up in the fashion that this one is, but it’s very easy to draw you in.
I’d like to hear more about what the two regions are like besides hot and cold, but I haven’t finished reading yet!
Good job author, keep going!
Darlene_Virginia: The story is well written and the development is smooth. The world background is creative. This is the historical romance story between a fallen queen and the duke she marries to escape death. Most intriguing character plot. Kudos to the author! I would like to read many more chapters in the future. Happy writing!
